First National Bank and Trust names President, Adds Two New Local Board Members

Clinton, Ill., April 4, 2018 - First National Bank has named Josh Shofner as bank President and added two new local board members as of March 2018, new members include Dr. Sid Rohrscheib and Randy Rice.
Josh Shofner - President
Josh Shofner has been named President at First National Bank and Trust Company. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois in Mathematics and an MBA from Illinois State University where he received the program's top recognition upon completion in 2012. He is also a graduate of the Midwest School for Community Bankers and most recently, the American Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School in Dallas, Texas.
Shofner will begin his 19th year at First National Bank in May, working closely with the lending staff and clients. During his time at First National Bank, he has also served as a board member with other nonprofit organizations such as the Clinton YMCA, Clinton Rotary, and as a school board member in a neighboring district for over 14 years. He resides in Weldon with his wife, Charity, and their 13-year-old daughter.
Dr. Sid Rohrscheib – Board Member
Sid obtained his medical degree from the University of Illinois, and then trained in surgery at The Ohio State University. He went into private practice upon returning home and has provided basic surgical care in Clinton since 1995. He also has a bariatric surgery program based in Champaign that treats patients from all over Downstate Illinois.
Dr. Sid Rohrscheib grew up in Decatur, as did his wife Krista. They have two grown daughters, Katie and Sarah, both pursuing careers in healthcare.
Both sides of Sid's family have been in the DeWitt and Macon County area for more than five generations, and he and Krista are very grateful for the opportunity the Clinton community presented him and his family.
Sid has various restoration projects ongoing in his shed and is an instrumented rated pilot who flies whenever he can think of an excuse to do so.
Randy J. Rice – Board Member
Randy J. Rice graduated from Judson College, Elgin, Il with a Bachelor’s in Christian Education and Philosophy. He continued his education at Worsham College Of Mortuary Science in Skokie, Illinois. After graduating, Rice served an apprenticeship with Mueller Funeral Homes in LaSalle-Peru, Il before working as a funeral director/embalmer at Mueller Funeral Homes.
He met his wife Sandy married and lived in Ottawa, Illinois where they had 2 daughters, Brianna and Kelsey. In 1991 they moved to Clinton, Ill. where he worked for Calvert Funeral Homes, Clinton, Il. In 2012, he became a partner with the firm and was also elected as the DeWitt County Coroner. He is in his second term as Coroner.
Rice is also a member of the Clinton Rotary Club, YMCA board member and past Chamber Of Commerce board member. He is an active member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton, Ill. Both of Rice’s daughters are married and together have 4 wonderful grandchildren.
