Local bank donates $7,500 to Whitehall Public Library

Whitehall, WI, September 25, 2023 - First National Bank and Trust Company recently donated $7,500 to the new Whitehall Public Library. The funds will go toward the library’s “roots and wings” capital campaign for landscaping and library furniture.
The mission of the Whitehall Public Library is to serve the public by providing access to information, resources, and culture to stimulate curiosity and lifelong learning. The new library will provide more space for the growing Whitehall community and provide a direct boost to the local economy and benefits to the vitality of Trempealeau County.
“We are so grateful for the gift from First National Bank and Trust Company. This donation will ensure that our new building is a welcoming and comfortable place for our community,” said Whitehall Library Director, Amanda Hegge.
The new library will help meet ADA code, extra seating for visiting, increased quite zones, small study and tutoring areas, plus have a community meeting room. The 21st Century libraries help build community connections, foster youth development and a natural gathering place for people of all ages.
