First National Bank Announces New Board of Directors

Clinton, IL, May 19, 2017 - First National Bank and Trust Company of Clinton, Illinois, is proud to announce a new board of directors.

First National Bank and Trust Company was recently acquired by TS Banking Group. TS Banking Group a joint venture between Treynor Bancshares, Inc. and the newly formed bank holding company, TS Contrarian Bancshares, Inc. TS Banking Group and the two affiliated bank holding companies are headquartered in Treynor, Iowa, that is part of the Omaha, Nebraska MSA.

As part of this transition, a new board has been selected to serve. The new board of directors includes Josh Shofner, Wesley Graves, Larry Welton, Joshua M. Guttau and Neil Stanley.

Josh Shofner is the current Vice President/Sr. Loan Officer at First National Bank and Trust Company. He holds degrees from the University of Illinois in Mathematics and an MBA from Illinois State University where he received the program's top recognition upon completion in 2012. He is also a graduate of the Midwest School for Community Bankers and most recently, the American Bankers Association’s Commercial Lending School in Dallas, Texas. Shofner will begin his 18th year at First National Bank in May, working closely with the lending staff and FNB clients. During his time at FNB, he has also served as a board member with other nonprofit organizations such as the Clinton YMCA, Clinton Rotary, and as a school board member in a neighboring district for over 13 years. He resides in Weldon with his wife, Charity, and their 12-year-old daughter.

Welsey Graves graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2000 with a Business Marketing Degree. He grew up working for his family’s agriculture business and continues to enjoy working at Harbrand/Marco in Clinton. Graves is active in his hometown community, as he has served on the First National Bank board for eight years and was a member of the Clinton Community YMCA board for 15 years. He is an active member of the First Christian Church of Clinton and enjoys coaching his children in sports. Wesley, his wife Andrea, and their three children enjoy traveling and spending time outdoors.

Larry Welton is a lifelong resident of DeWitt County, moving to Clinton from Farmer City in 1962, when he became an Agent with State Farm Insurance Company. Welton received awards such as the Millionaire's Club several times over his 55 years as an agent. Welton has two sons, Rick and Rustin Welton, with seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Welton's wife of 59 years, Doris, passed away in May of 2015.

Joshua M. Guttau serves as CEO of the TS Banking Group. With an MBA in Finance and Strategic Planning from Iowa State University and a Professional Masters of Banking from Louisiana State University, Guttau has been a part of global and national corporations in the consumer food industry, manufacturing industry, agriculture industry, and banking industry. He currently resides near Treynor, Iowa, and enjoys spending time with his wife Shelly and their four children, and also managing the family’s 500 head cow/calf and farming operation.

Neil Stanley serves as the President of Community Banking for TS Banking Group. Stanley is also the Founder and CEO of The CorePoint. Stanley grew up on a farm in southeast Nebraska and obtained both a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska Lincoln, Nebraska. Stanley brings over 25 years of experience in bank and bank holding company leadership roles with a focus on competitive strategy and organizational structure. He and his wife, Fara, reside in Omaha, Nebraska, and have three adult children, Grant, Laura and Rachel.

In addition, the bank would like to announce its officers; Josh Shofner, Senior Loan Officer, VP; Kathy McNees, Trust Officer; Rachel Costello, VP of Personal Banking; and Tammy Shouse, Operations Officer.
